Battelle’s Aviation Security Division is seeking a Research Associate to support test and evaluation activities under their United States Border Patrol (USBP) program. Primary responsibilities include: test execution, data collection, data analysis and reporting, and preparing technical briefs. This program will provide technical services and solutions to the USBP under their Acquisition Program management and Technical Solutions in support of the USBP Program Management Office Directorate. This contract is pending award, and this would be a contingent hire.
Performs experiments, research and analysis. Solves a range of problems; analyzes possible solutions and makes recommendations for process improvement. Extracts information from existing databases or literature and performs reviews.
Performs assignments of moderate complexity by compiling and evaluating design and test data, preparing technical specifications, analyzing technical data to determine appropriate limits and variables for product, process or materials specifications.
Interprets, compiles and analyzes data collected and writes various technical reports.
Troubleshoots the testing process when expected results are not obtained. Recommends and executes paths forward to resolve analysis problems.
Completes assigned project work within schedule and budget constraints.
Must have BS in engineering, preferably in mechanical, aerospace, electrical with at least 2yrs experience.
Must successfully meet Customs Border Patrol (CBP) Background Investigation (BI) or Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) requirements
Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance
